Guides, in the order a run needs them
From upload to finished video.
Each station lists its pages with the answer on the first line. Open the one you are standing at.
- 01Before you start
What jigframe does, what it does not, and your first video.
- Make your first videoSign up, upload one clip, choose a voice and a caption style, approve the script, then download the finished video with its title and description. Nothing renders until you approve the script.
- The stages of a run, in orderEvery video runs through seven stages, with your review after the script: video analysis, script, narration, caption timing, captions, rendering and description. Caption timing and captions only run when captions are on.
- What jigframe does, and what it does notjigframe takes one short clip you filmed and returns a narrated, captioned video with its title and description. It does not generate footage, mine highlights from long recordings, or give you an editing timeline.
- 02Upload
Which files work, filming for narration, and paused uploads.
- Film a clip that narrates wellHold each shot for a few seconds, show the work rather than talk over it, and film in the shape you want to publish. The script describes what the camera sees.
- Resume a paused or interrupted uploadUploads are sent in parts, so a paused or dropped upload keeps what it has sent. Choose the same original file to resume within 24 hours.
- Which video files you can uploadUpload one MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV file with a single video track in H.264, HEVC, VP8, VP9, AV1 or MPEG-4, within the length, picture, frame rate and file size limits. jigframe checks a clip when you choose it and again after upload, and says which limit it breaks.
- 03Script
Read, edit and approve the words before anything is voiced.
- Approve or edit the scriptEvery script waits for your approval before it is voiced. Edit the words, save, then approve. Nothing is narrated or rendered until you do.
- Why the script has a word limitThe narration has to fit the footage, so the word limit is the clip's length multiplied by the voice's speaking rate, which the voices table lists in words a second.
- What happens to your minutes while a script waitsStarting a video holds its length from your finished minutes for 24 hours. If you approve later, the hold has lapsed and approving needs those minutes free again.
- Steer the words with a Vibe promptThe Vibe prompt is an optional brief. It shapes what the script says and how it says it; the voice you choose sets the sound.
- 04Narration and captions
The narrators, captions and languages.
- Add captions to your videoTurn captions on when you start a video and choose a style. Captions are burned into the picture and timed to the narration, exactly as the preview on the New video screen shows them.
- Choose a narrator voiceChoose the narrator when you start a video. Every voice is AI-generated and speaks English, and the job page labels the narration that way.
- Which languages are supportedScripts, narration and captions are in English. German, Spanish and French are planned but not available yet.
- 05Finished video
Shape, resolution, a 9:16 version, download, title and description.
- Download the video and copy its title and descriptionOpen the finished job, choose Download video, and copy the title and description beside it. The title is up to 120 characters and the description up to 3,000.
- Make a 9:16 version for Reels, Shorts and TikTokFrom a finished job, choose Create another format and Portrait 9:16. It uses the same approved words, narration and caption style, and keeps the whole picture, padded with black rather than cropped.
- Shape, length and resolution of the finished videoThe finished video keeps your footage's length, shape and resolution. It is an H.264 MP4 with AAC audio at 30 frames per second.
- Why the original sound is mutedThe finished video carries the narration only; the clip's own sound is muted. If the narration ends early, the footage plays out in silence.
- 06Minutes
How finished minutes are held and charged, plans and storage.
- How finished minutes are countedStarting a video holds its footage length, plus a small margin. When the render finishes you are charged the finished length and the rest comes back. A run that stops is not charged.
- Plans and pricesEvery plan bills finished minutes: what you pay for is the length of the videos jigframe renders. The table lists each plan with its price and what it includes.
- What counts towards storageYour clips, finished videos, narration and working files all count towards storage. Uploads stop when storage is full.
- 07Account
Sign-up, passwords, workspaces, cancelling and deleting.
- Cancel a run, delete a job or delete a projectCancelling stops production and releases held minutes. Deleting a job removes it and all its versions for good; your uploaded clip stays in the library. Deleting a project also removes the clip and every video made from it.
- Reset your passwordChoose Forgot password on the log-in page and follow the link in the email. The link works once and expires in an hour.
- Sign up and confirm your emailSign up with your email and a password, then enter the six-digit code we send. A code works once and expires in an hour.
- Workspaces and what they shareA workspace keeps its own clips, jobs and defaults. Finished minutes and storage are shared by every workspace on the account.
