Your shape in.
Your size out.
Every jigframe video keeps the whole length and the whole picture of your footage. It comes out in the shape you filmed, or as Portrait 9:16 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok.

Original size
- Frame
- Your clip's own width and height. An odd number of pixels gains one.
- Picture
- The whole picture, as filmed.
- How you get it
- Every video's first render.
- Charged
- Its finished length.
Portrait 9:16
- Frame
- 1080 × 1920, whatever size you filmed at.
- Picture
- The whole picture, scaled to fit, with black bars where it does not fill the frame. Never cropped.
- How you get it
- From a finished video, choose Create another format. It reuses the approved words and narration.
- Charged
- Its finished length again. Your first video stays available.
The file
The same file in every size.
Both presets render the same kind of file, ready to upload as it is.
- Length
- Same as the footage.
- File
- MP4, H.264 video, AAC audio.
- Frame rate
- 30 fps.
- Colour
- Standard dynamic range. HDR footage is converted.
- Sound
- The narration. Your clip's own sound is muted.
- Captions
- Burned into the picture, if you choose a style. In an upright frame they sit above the bottom fifth. See where they sit.

Before you film.
- Make a 9:16 version for Reels, Shorts and TikTokFrom a finished job, choose Create another format and Portrait 9:16. It uses the same approved words, narration and caption style, and keeps the whole picture, padded with black rather than cropped.
- Shape, length and resolution of the finished videoThe finished video keeps your footage's length, shape and resolution. It is an H.264 MP4 with AAC audio at 30 frames per second.
- Film a clip that narrates wellHold each shot for a few seconds, show the work rather than talk over it, and film in the shape you want to publish. The script describes what the camera sees.
- Which video files you can uploadUpload one MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV file with a single video track in H.264, HEVC, VP8, VP9, AV1 or MPEG-4, within the length, picture, frame rate and file size limits. jigframe checks a clip when you choose it and again after upload, and says which limit it breaks.
