The stages of a run, in order
The short answer
Every video runs through seven stages, with your review after the script: video analysis, script, narration, caption timing, captions, rendering and description. Caption timing and captions only run when captions are on.
| Stage | What happens | Who acts |
|---|---|---|
| Video analysis | The footage is sampled and described. | jigframe |
| Script | Words are written to fit the clip's length. | jigframe |
| Your review | You read, edit and approve the script. | You |
| Narration | The chosen voice reads the approved words. | jigframe |
| Caption timing | Each word is timed to the narration. | jigframe |
| Captions | The words are laid out in your caption style for the frame. | jigframe |
| Rendering | Footage, narration and captions become one MP4. | jigframe |
| Description | A title and description are written from the script. | jigframe |
You can leave the page at any stage. Progress is saved as each stage finishes, and a stage that stops can be retried without redoing the ones before it.

- Approve or edit the scriptEvery script waits for your approval before it is voiced. Edit the words, save, then approve. Nothing is narrated or rendered until you do.
- A run stopped before the video was finishedNothing was charged. If the job offers Retry, it runs the stopped stage again with the same saved settings and keeps the stages that finished.
