My upload says “Verification failed”
The short answer
The file uploaded but could not be used. The reason after “Verification failed” says why; nothing has been spent.
| The reason says | What to do |
|---|---|
| this format is not supported | Export or convert to MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV, such as MP4 with H.264 video, and upload again. |
| the file has no video track | The file is audio only. Upload the video file. |
| the video is longer than the allowed length | Trim the clip to 90 seconds or less and upload it again. |
| the picture is larger than the allowed resolution | Export at 3,840 pixels by 2,160 pixels or smaller and upload again. A clip with non-square pixels counts at the width it is shown. |
| the frame rate is higher than the allowed rate | Export at 120 frames a second or fewer, such as 60 or 30, and upload again. Slow-motion clips often need this. |
| the video is too short | Upload a longer clip. |
| the file could not be read as a video | The file is damaged or incomplete. Upload the original again. |
| the stored file did not match the upload | The upload was corrupted in transit. Upload again. |
| the uploaded bytes were not found | The upload did not finish storing. Upload the file again. |
| verification did not complete | Checking stopped after several tries. Upload the file again. |
| the upload was cancelled | Upload the file again when you are ready. |
“This footage is outside the supported limits”
Footage is checked again against the current limits whenever work starts from it: Start, every Recreate choice, approving a script, Adjust timing and Retry. Footage that was accepted under earlier, wider limits can be refused this way. Your sources, the footage picker and Recreate mark such footage “Outside current limits” before you start. The reason after the colon is one from the table above, or “the file is larger than the allowed size”, which means the file is over 300 MiB. Nothing is held or charged, and videos already made from the footage stay available. Re-export or trim the clip as the table says and upload it again.
If production stops for this reason after it started, it stopped before any narration or other AI work, and no finished-video minutes were charged.
